After Many Years of Waiting
After many years of waiting
filled with longing, tears and dreams,
will I feel the inner kicking?
Will I cuddle, nurse and wean?
Yes, my constant prayer is answered.
Two hearts beat within my frame.
I can scarcely comprehend it;
You have called me by my name.
Who can solve the timeless question
why some miracles come late?
I will simply praise the Maker
who has sanctified my wait.
