When Hope is Frayed
LM
Suggested tune: GIFT OF LOVE
When hope is frayed and trust is torn
We need a Weaver who can braid
The tattered threads of human will
Into a cloth called ‘unafraid.’
When people with a common name
Forget the tie that truly binds
The Weaver, using Spirit-thread,
Will plait our stubborn hearts and minds.
When in our folly we believe
That we can mend our own conceit,
Come, Weaver, do your holy craft,
Entwine our hearts, then guide our feet.

What Can We Say But “Glory Be!”
In this church we call our home
Gracious Creator of Sea and of Land
Family of God, Formed from the Dust
Who is this Woman So Weak and Bent Over
